Moving people abroad: a guide to successful transitions
Companies are sending a rising number of executives abroad to work as expatriates, either to teach missing skills, facilitate corporate control and communication, or to learn and develop themselves and their organisations. This report provides guidance for managers of expatriates and inpatriates to ensure that these employees deliver the best possible performance for the company before, during and after their overseas posting. It also addresses the personal challenges that employees are likely to face and provides tips so that managers can do everything possible to make the expatriate assignment a success.
