Kim Silcock, Head of Customer Services for Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council completed the Academy for Executive Leadership (AEL) programme in March 2010. In this case study she talks candidly to Ali Abington about her personal leadership journey and about the influence the programme has had on her effectiveness to deliver customer services within the Council. She also reflects on the impact the learning has had on her contribution to national policy development.
