Ashridge has been working with Calderdale and Greater Huddersfield CCGs to examine the notion of membership and good working practices within and outside the NHS to nurture membership among prime stakeholders. Development of a vibrant and engaged membership is critical to the success of a clinical commissioning group. It is, however, an issue that tends to be low on the agenda for many CCGs, who are coping with a multitude of other, pressing challenges.
In the article, the authors detail a model and toolkit that CCGs can use as a structure for future development.
