Understanding the personal resilience in high potential employees from the NSPCC
This research, conducted by Ashridge in collaboration with the NSPCC, took place between September 2011 and March 2013. The research explores the role of personal resilience in supporting high potential employees manage everyday stress and pressure. The research compares the overall resilience of the talent pool with a general population of managers. The study also highlights the helpful coping strategies applied by participants to manage everyday pressure and explores how these strategies can be grouped around 6 key themes. The research also identifies difficulties experienced by participants when trying to implement these strategies. Based around the themes identified, the research goes on to provide targeted recommendations for individuals and organisations to build resilience.
