Malcolm is an experienced facilitator and coach working in the field of organisational development and change. He has held senior management roles in his field over the past 20 years in Coopers and Lybrand, PwC and BG Group. Previous experience includes the Royal Navy and the BBC. He is happiest working as a practitioner/consultant with leaders and their teams. His work has included leadership development, executive assessment and coaching, performance management, integrated planning and senior team effectiveness.
He believes that the wisdom of how best to develop an organisation sits mostly within the organisation itself and less with ‘expert’ diagnosticians and advisors – and that change management is a systemic and adaptive learning process. Over the last ten years his methods and approach reflect this, drawing on an emerging body of new thinking and practice.
Malcolm has a Masters with distinction in Organisational Consulting from Ashridge and has spent a number of years as a part-time PhD student at the Centre for Action Research at the University of Bath. He is currently completing his Doctorate in Organisational Change back at Ashridge. His first degree is in Mechanical Engineering.
