Doris Sew Hoy
BComm (Hons), MBA, MSc
Doris works as an executive and leadership coach, specialising in communication, relationship building and working across cultures. She focuses on clients’ strengths and uses a mindfulness approach to develop clients’ authentic self, thus inspiring and empowering them to live, work and lead purposefully with self-confidence and assurance. Coaching clients include World Health Organisation, European Commission, BBC, HSBC, Médecins Sans Frontières, National Grid, and M&G.
Doris joined Ashridge in 1995 as a faculty member teaching marketing and business development, before focusing on coaching. Before Ashridge, Doris worked as an economist with the London Stock Exchange and the Ministry of Energy in New Zealand.
A New Zealander by birth and of Chinese ethnic heritage, Doris has a first-class honours degree in Economics. She came to the UK in 1983 as a Commonwealth Scholar, and gained a MBA from Durham University Business School and an MSc in Organisational Behaviour from Birkbeck College, University of London.
