Corporate Level Strategy

  • Ways the centre can add value to the business unit
  • Portfolio strategy and the design of the group levels
  • Building synergies.

Using a mix of lectures, case discussion, interactive exercises and peer sharing, Jo Whitehead will address the ingredients of a successful corporate-level strategy. The seminar will emphasise the role of the corporate parent in adding value to the businesses in the group and will propose a framework for assessing the fit between the parent and the needs of the businesses. It will also propose a process for developing a valid corporate-level strategy.

This seminar will be a great opportunity for people who have recently joined the corporate strategy department or who have not yet been exposed to much thinking about corporate-level (as opposed to business-level) strategy to learn the tools and techniques that we have been developing at Ashridge for the past fifteen years.
