Senior Executive Program Overview
Senior Executive Program will provide you with the best thinking and approaches in devising strategy and delivering change.
You will take both new and established ideas, strip them apart and apply them to your own needs. Our tutors work alongside you as you learn how to craft your own unique approach to leading strategy and change.
During the training program, you will develop your own effective leadership style and work on real issues with your peer group. It will help you build on your ability to devise strategy. You will learn how to grow your organization and lead change successfully. Crucially, you will develop the skills to apply what you have learnt back in your organization.
Content and Structure
The first step of the SEP is your program launch call with the Program Director to establish your personal learning needs.
Before module one, we ask you to complete two psychometric instruments, MBTI® Step II and FIRO-B® which help develop your self-awareness and gauge interpersonal effectiveness.
Before module two, you will complete an EQ 360° questionnaire which focuses on your emotional intelligence and how best to use it.
This flexible program is delivered over three modules:
Module one: Essentials of Strategic Leadership
Explore the role that strategy plays in organizational success
Understand what great strategy is and apply it to a real case
Gain insight into your leadership beliefs and style and how you perform under pressure
Learn how to design and lead a strategy development process to create a robust plan
Examine corporate culture, identify where change is needed and understand how to make it work in your organization.
You will work towards presenting your analysis of your organization’s strategy for group feedback and action planning.
Module two: Leading Change and Growth
Explore the different types of change organizations face
Discuss tools and frameworks you can use to implement or manage change
Look at how to lead people through change and examine potential routes to growth for organizations
Consider ‘gamechangers’ like climate change and how they affect sustained organizational success.
You will have a choice of elective sessions and workshops, as well as a one-to-one coaching session.
Module three: Your Agenda
Drawing on all the program material, you will make a presentation on the issues you are facing and your plans for the implementation of your strategy
You will look at how to use coaching to get the best from your people
You will work on communicating your vision and selling your strategy with a RADA trained actor
Having developed your own model for leadership, you will plan and present a personal statement for review by your peers.
Along with your choice of elective session and a one-to-one coaching session, you will work on the goals and actions you will take back to your workplace in your 100-day plan.
You will have a follow-up one-to-one coaching session, usually around three months after the final module.
100 days after the final module, you will be contacted by your program tutor, to check your progress on your 100-day plan.
You will become a member of the Ashridge Alumni network, which is an excellent opportunity to continue your personal development and networking.
You are also given continued access to your online program portal and Virtual Ashridge content for six months after your final module. Ongoing support and further learning opportunities are available with Ashridge Momentum.
