You’re a senior HR leader responsible for formulating or implementing people and HR strategy. Though you’re very experienced in HR, you’re looking to improve your strategic impact and influence, as well as your knowledge of organizational development.
What will I learn?
You know that people determine the success or failure of a business strategy. This course provides insights and practical skills that will enable you to leverage the human network potential in your organization for sustainable business success. It introduces a HR Strategic Impact framework and explores insights and practical skills on the following three levels:
Strategic—developing your strategic role, impact, and influence of HR.
Tactical—enhancing the way you create ownership for initiatives with key stakeholders to impact meaningfully on the organization.
Personal—the way in which you develop and leverage your strengths and courage to enhance your personal credibility and impact.
By the end, you’ll understand:
How to optimize the operating model of your own people and HR strategy
The strategic context and how to align people strategy within it
How to partner with greater credibility to impact organizational culture and business results
This commitment to ensuring your learning is applicable in the workplace has led to 90% of our participants saying they would highly recommend this program to their colleagues.
Why learn with us?
Our approach to executive education places you at the center. Before arriving, you’ll complete our custom HR leadership Ashridge Inventory of Management Skills (AIMS) 360° evaluation. This helps identify your own strengths and weaknesses, and also allows managers, peers, and direct reports to provide feedback on you. Using this data, you’ll partner with an executive coach 1:1 during two sessions to maximize the individual and organizational impact of the course.
This immersive course includes interactive sessions with two leading blue chip organizations’ HR thought leaders, sharing innovative new approaches to talent, leadership, and performance management. As well as, simulations that bring trained actors into the classroom to push you out of your comfort zone.
Before leaving, you’ll partner with a coach to create an action plan based on solving a real workplace challenge. Post-course, you'll complete a final project related to this problem, and earn a Certificate of Application for it. We support the experimentation with new skills through a peer action learning virtual session about four weeks post-program, adding further value to your professional development.
“The sessions with trained actors were a real highlight because they gave me the chance to experiment with different influencing techniques and receive feedback straightaway.”
