Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship

Equivalent to a Bachelors degree, the Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship combines work-based learning and degree study that map to the requirements of the CMDA Standard. The Programme is applicable for employers from all sectors and all sizes of organisation and provides a wide range of career development opportunities, for those at the start of their career who wish to become professional managers and achieve Chartered Manager status and to those who may already have practical experience but wish to develop their theoretical knowledge and skills.

Delivered over approximately 4 years, this programme combines online, work-based learning with residential blocks at the stunning Ashridge venue or at a location of the employer's choice.

Why Ashridge

Ashridge is ranked within the top 20 business schools worldwide for workplace education and is among less than 1% of institutions worldwide to be triple accredited by EQUIS, AMBA, and AACSB. The institution is also audited by the QAA to ensure the quality of the education and training we deliver compared to our UK counterparts. We have over 50 years' business education experience working with several hundred corporate clients each year, and 20 years' experience delivering corporate degree programmes, placing us in the unique position, compared to traditional higher education institutions, both in terms of our proximity to business and our understanding of employer needs.

The Apprenticeship Levy

In April 2017, the way the government funds apprenticeships in England is changing. Organisations with a pay bill of over £3 million will be required to contribute to a new apprenticeship levy, and there will be changes to the funding for apprenticeship training for all employers.

The levy will be charged at a rate of 0.5% of an organisations pay bill, however, the government will provide a 'levy allowance' of £15,000 to offset this. The government will also give a 10% monthly top-up to the funds employers have for spending on apprenticeship training and assessments in England. Companies in England that want to access the fund will be required to choose a government approved training provider and negotiate the cost of training.
