The Ashridge One-Day Series

The Ashridge One-Day Series

2010 will be another year of challenges and Ashridge is pleased to offer you a series of one-day programmes, designed to challenge your thinking, provide valuable insights into your business and give you the impetus to apply new ideas and principles back in your workplace. You will have personal access to people who are passionate about what they do.

The Ashridge faculty are leading experts in their field as well as current business practitioners and operate at the point where theory meets practice. Their research and thinking is always undertaken in areas of real use to practising managers.

Authentic Leadership and Teams: The Everest Parallel

This one day programme is designed to help leaders, aspiring leaders and their team members to find a personal leadership approach that will be sustainable over time and through challenging circumstances.

Using the experience of climbing Everest as a metaphor for business performance, the tutors - Ashridge’s Roger Delves and Rebecca Stephens MBE, the first British woman ever to climb Everest - will use an extended case study based on the events of the 1996 climbing season on Everest plus Authenticity theory, to explore a number of issues around decision-making, high performance teams and competitive activity.
