Your Pathway to a Masters in Management (MSc)

There are three key stages to achieving the Pathways Masters: Postgraduate Certificate, Postgraduate Diploma and Masters (MSc). Participants need to pass through each stage sequentially to progress, and can choose to graduate with a Postgraduate Certificate or a Postgraduate Diploma at the end of each stage if they do not wish to graduate at full Masters level.

Stage One: Postgraduate Certificate in Management

Students are required to undertake ten days' face-to-face learning at Ashridge. They must also submit six assignments (2500 words each), where the necessary learning takes place in their own organisation supported by a custom-built virtual learning environment. Learning previously undertaken at Ashridge through Open or Tailored programmes can be credited towards part or all of the face-to-face element.

Stage Two: Postgraduate Diploma in Management

Having completed the Certificate, students who choose to pursue the Diploma are required to undertake a further ten days' face-to-face learning at Ashridge and to submit three more assignments (5000 words each), where again learning takes place in their own organisation supported by the virtual learning environment. Learning previously undertaken face-to-face at Ashridge through Open or Tailored programmes which is not offered as accredited prior learning for the Certificate can be credited towards part or all of the face-to-face element of the Diploma.

Stage Three: Masters in Management (MSc)

Students who successfully complete the Diploma may register for the Masters in Management. This stage requires participants to undertake a project and produce a report/dissertation of 10,000 words.
