Tim has worked in the fields of education, psychology and organisational change for 20 years. His early background involved social and environmental campaigning as well as the performing arts. As a business psychologist with SHL UK, he worked on leadership and organisation development programmes with clients including Sony, Tesco and EMI.
He has a degree from Oxford University in Psychology, and Masters degrees from UMIST in Organisational Psychology and from Bath University School of Management in Responsibility and Business Practice. Tim is a visiting Fellow at Bath University School of Management and an associate consultant for Bath University’s Centre for Action Research in Professional Practice. His research and consulting work focuses on creating spaces in organisations for people to identify, discuss and then act on the things that really matter most to them. Increasingly this involves finding ways to
bring aspirations of corporate responsibility, environmental sustainability and social justice closer to the centre of
organisations and our working lives.
Tim has a long-standing interest in the role of spiritual and contemplative practice
within leadership and organisation development. He set up Meditation at Work in 2005, a project that creates links
between contemporary organisational challenges and the practice and principles of meditative traditions.
